Storyboard Animation

Today we worked on our storyboard animation. It was a bit of a pain to do as we had to retake some photos and some of the colouring of the images are yellow and white and just a bit odd but the way it flows is good and the time spent on it was worth it.

We have a total of 36 shots, when filming it came in very handy as it pretty much shown us everything we needed to include chronologically. The purpose of a storyboard is very important when shooting a movie. Our opening sequence from the look of our storyboard is 2-3 minutes long, as short as this sounds we want to try cram in as much detail as possible so it's flows easy and and understandable.

Before starting our storyboard me and Farhath discussed planning and how we would work together to get the storyboard done. I drew the first half and Farhath wrote camera angles and shots and we then swapped, alternating between us both so we equally had input.
Our work as a team blended quite well together, however we didn't realise at the time how difficult and detailed storyboards actually are and we ended up not including every single shot as we knew on the days of filming we would include them anyway as we're quite spontaneous directors.

Below is a screen shot of our process through editing and our storyboard animation edited on Final Cut pro:
